Mom Drives Minivan Into Hudson River
Lashanda Armstrong mom who drove into the Hudson with her 3 kids It turns out Lashanda Armstrong had nothing to do with the fact that her 10-year-old survived her murder/suicide mission the other day. The little boy, LaShaun, just revealed details about the last few moments with his mom and his baby brothers and sisters. The unhinged mother who drove her minivan off a Newburgh dock and into the Hudson River told her four children that she wasn’t leaving this world alone. “If I’m going to die, you’re going to die with me,”
Lashanda Armstrong told the children before the vehicle sank to the bottom of the river just before 8 p.m. on Tuesday, the only surviving child told authorities. Armstrong’s 10-year-old son, Lashaun, escaped the doomed family minivan – opening a power window and swimming to safety in the two minutes it took for the vehicle to sink. But as he wriggled out of the window, his mother snatched his pants leg. “I made a mistake,” she said before finally releasing the boy, the child told authorities.
After swimming to shore, the dripping-wet Lashaun made it to the road, where he was picked up by Meave Ryan, a good Samaritan who took the boy to a nearby firehouse. “He was waving his hands, screaming ‘Help me!’” said Ryan, 31. “He said, ‘My mommy just drove the car into the water.’” Shivering and barely able to speak, little Lashaun told firefighters how his mother had launched the van into the river with his siblings inside and how, just moments before, she dialed her dad for help, the kids screaming in the background. “I’m sorry, I’m going to do something crazy,” Armstrong said, according to the boy’s story. That prompted a 911 call that brought police to her Newburgh home, but it was too late.
Police wouldn’t confirm details of the domestic dispute that preceded the murder-suicide inside the tan van, but neighbors said Armstrong and longtime boyfriend Jean Pierre were frequent fighters in their second-floor home. The boyfriend/baby daddy, who was the father of three of Armstrong’s four kids, was so trife that he was cheating with a neighbor for three months while Lashanda was pregnant with their youngest. So the kids suffered behind their father’s dirt dog ways and their mom’s refusal to walk away from a f*cked up relationship. We really didn’t think this story could have gotten any sadder.

New Evidence In B.I.G.'S Murder May Prove LAPD Involvement
Recently revealed witness testimony may finally prove the long-rumored link between the Los Angeles Police Department and the shooting death of revered rapper Christopher "Notorious B.I.G." Wallace.

Though the case has gone unsolved for almost 14 years, it has long been alleged that LAPD was involved in a cover-up regarding the mysterious 1997 shooting, after a Vibe magazine party by the Peterson Automotive Museum in Los Angeles. A wrongful death suit was filed against the city of Los Angeles by Biggie's mother Voletta Wallace in 2005, accusing LAPD officials of suppressing evidence regarding the role that two LAPD officers may have had in the shooting.
In breaking news, new evidence has been uncovered which may have proven a link between LAPD officers David Mack and Rafael Perez and former Death Row Records CEO Suge Knight, long suspected of orchestrating B.I.G.'s shooting.
According to the evidence, an unnamed inmate, who later shared a cell with Rafael Perez, claims Perez told him that he was working security at the Peterson Museum on the night Biggie was shot, and that he made a phone call when Biggie left the party, to inform Mack that the Bad Boy rapper was sitting inside a vehicle outside the museum."The federal judge in the case writes that the inmate reported that Perez had told him about his and [Officer David] Mack's involvement with Death Row Records and their activities at the Petersen Automotive Museum the night of Biggie Smalls' murder,"California news station KCAL9 reports, calling the new info "potentially explosive evidence."
Unfortunately, the lead investigator in the case, who has since retired, never presented the inmate's sworn statements as evidence. Less than a year after Biggie's death, Perez and Mack were revealed to have been on Death Row's payroll as security, a scandal which, along with their involvement in an $800,000 cocaine heist, ended their careers in law enforcement.
The Wallace family argues that the evidence was suppressed to avoid costing the city millions for the LAPD's involvement in the murder, further creating tensions between the people of Los Angeles and its much-maligned police department.
