Happy Belated Birthday Rihanna

Robyn Rihanna Fenty was born on the 20th of February, 1988 on the island Barbados. The parents of Rihanna are Ronald and Monica Fenty and they are native islanders. Rihanna has two younger brothers - Rajad and Rorrey. The childhood of the future singer did not differ from the childhood of majority of islanders - primary and then high school. Since childhood, the future star loved to sing, not in public but for her. Though, the song of Mariah Carey's “Hero” sung by her in school brought her the deserved title "Miss school" in her native school in 2004. At the age of 15 years, Rihanna has had the luck to meet producer Evan Rogers, who, at that time, was holidaying in Barbados. After listening to her sing, he helped the talented girl by bringing her recorded songs to USA and dispatching them to all recording companies. One of the copies of Rhanna's work was sent to popular rapper Jay-Z. Jay-Z and he was impressed and eventually Rihanna reached the US for recording her first album. The debut album by Rihanna was called “Music of the Sun”, which was released in August, 2005. The same year, Rihanna toured alongside with Gwen Stefani to promote the album. These efforts have not gone to waste and approximately 2 million copies of the album were sold of which, around 500 000 were sold only in the USA. In April, 2006, after only 8 months after the release of her first album, she released her second album - "A Girl Like Me". The composition "SOS" from this album occupied the No #1 position in the hit parade Billboard Hot 100. Other singles from this album - "Unfaithful", "We Ride" and "Break It Off" were no less successful. In total, 11 compositions from the first two albums became world famous hits! In 2006, Rihanna debuted as an actress. She played small roles in "Bring It On: All or Nothing", the soap opera "All my children" and the drama "Las Vegas". On the 5th of June 2007, Rihanna released a new album - "Good Girl Gone Bad". Stars such as Timbaland, Justin Timberlake, Ne-Yo and Jay-Z took part in the new album. The results for the album were successful quickly as the single "Umbrella" became a hit all over the world.
