So I want one of my followers to write me a poem or a letter.....The Choice is yours (Captain Planet Voice) lol
Dear Ms. Yummy Junk,
No postage stamp necessary!
That's how this all began. I don't remember...ever having a twitter conversation with you prior to that tweet that you wrote. I just happened to come across that tweet...requesting that you wanted one of your followers on TWITTER...to write you a letter or a poem. Even though I enjoy writing poetry...I felt compelled to write you a letter...since I had recently had a twitter conversation about how many of us don't communicate our thoughts through letters anymore. I also told the person that I was tweeting at the time that the only thing that you will find in my mail box is bills and spam...so why not make a name change. Instead of calling it a "Mailbox"...we should call it "You Won't Find Mail Here"
Let me make myself perfectly clear...even though I felt compelled to write a letter to you...I found myself thinking that I should watch the movie..."Dear John" before I even attempt to express my thoughts to you. After all...it was this movie that compelled you to request a letter from one of your followers in the first place. So I thought...what better place to start than at the beginning.
The main character in the movie "DEAR JOHN"...was in the Army. I also served in the United States Army. This particular character...through his letters...expressed his feelings to the woman that he loved. Which I could understand...because I lived for a letter from a loved one...being that I was a prior-service military person myself. One of the best feelings that you can get while being deployed...is letters from your loved ones and a box that was wrapped in brown paper and string. That is what we call a "CARE PACKAGE"
The letters...directly touched my "SOUL" because they were all written from the heart of the people that I loved the most. They hold sentimental value that is worth more than their weight in gold. A "CARE PACKAGE" touched us in a different way. For instance...Mama would bake your favorite cake, cookies, and cook your favorite meal...and there would be enough to share with many of the other soldiers. Many of them that have now became your "BROTHERS FROM ANOTHER MOTHER"
A lot of my friends...from home...would send a "CARE PACKAGE" filled with "White castle, Mcdonalds, or even Wendy's. White Castle's fish fillets were my favorite at the time. I love my friends from home...they were precious many were like family members. That's what happens when you grow close to a lot of people from your neighborhood. They would take the time out of their personal life to send me pictures, newspapers, cd's, nasty magazines and anything that they could get their hands on. It was their own personal way...to show "ME"...that they cared about me and praying for my safe return back home.
Their letters to me...would always keep me up to date with what was going on in "Brooklyn."...as well as wanting to know what I was going through. You see Ms. Yummy Junk...99.9% of the friends that wrote me letters were from female friends or female family members that cared enough about me to write a letter...or send me a "CARE PACKAGE". You see brothers only have time for...maybe "ONE" letter at most...because "BROTHER'S IN THE HOOD" don't have time to write letters...their time is consumed with other activities. Many of the letters...after I had read them...I would tie them all up together and keep them in a safe place. Sometimes I would read certain letters...over...and over...and over again! I found strength in a lot of those letters. They were filled with..."LOVE".
But in reality...anything that was sent to me was something much more than that...it was a connection to home and a connection to the person's heart...and that Ms. Yummy Junk...is "PRICELESS"
Because sooner or later...the letters and the "CARE PACKAGES" don't come as often. That's why they say that you'll know who your real friends are. They'll be there for you...no matter what. They will never stop loving you and they have the power to make whatever I am going through at the time...bearable. You see I had the "Good..The Bad...and the Ugly throughout my military career. Some places where I was stationed...felt like I was in "HEAVEN"...like Germany for example. There's something special about the people, food and the German culture...that can be very enjoyable to a person that is what seems like a million miles from home.
Which brings me to the other end on the sword...because for every place that seemed like "HEAVEN"...there was a lot of other places that felt like "HELL"...and that I was under the direct command of the "Klu Klux Klan"...Ft. Riley Kansas, Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri...and at the top of the hell hole...there wasn't no place better for me to feel miserable than in Fort Irwin in Barstow, California. Only because of the desert heat that we had to experience...while accomplishing certain tasks. The temperature would get well over 100 degrees in December...but the people of Barstow are a blessing. They made life in the desert enjoyable...whenever we had some time to ourselves...although it was very difficult place to be stationed.
Well Ms. Yummy Junk... while watching "Dear John"...I thought to myself...I can't write you a letter. I just can't do it. The reason for this is that...I had no idea that the movie at one point focused on the events of September 11th...that struck home. It hit a nerve Ms. Yummy Junk. It was like pouring salt on an open wound in my body. You see Ms. Yummy Junk...I live in New York City and I witnessed that traumatic event...first hand. Its a hurtful feeling that will last forever. It affected me for so many reasons that I can't even begin to explain. Tears were shed and I thought to myself...there's no way that I can write a letter to you.
But for some strange reason...I found myself drawn once again to write you on Memorial Day. It seemed fitting that I would be able to express my thoughts on the day that we pay respect to our "FALLEN SOLDIER'S"...because there are so many that have not made it back home. Ms. Yummy Junk...there's a high price that we pay when we become soldiers. Many of us know that we may lose our lives...but many of us never think that through this... one of our most difficult times that we will face...we never think that we may lose what we hold close to our hearts. Many of us are prepared to lose our lives for our "COUNTRY"...but we aren't prepared to lose someone that has captured our heart.
In the military...we are always teased about "JODIE" getting your girl...while you are gone. As much as I love to receive a letter from a love one...I am thankful that I was never on the end of a "DEAR JOHN" letter. I think I deserve better than that and I would like to think that many that served for our country during troubled times...deserve that same respect as well...but you know what they say about absence!
It will make the heart grow fonder...or it can make the heart wonder!
P.S. Some people can't express themselves through oral conversation. Some people can't express themselves in writing. Its a great thing when you can come on TWITTER and ask one of your followers to write you a letter...or poem. You just gave humanity hope...because a letter is another way of expressing your thoughts to another human being. I hope that you enjoyed my thoughts about the movie...DEAR JOHN...and my thoughts of a simple things that's called a letter.
P.S. P.S. You won't find a P.S. on TWITTER...or anywhere else but inside of a letter! Happy Memorial Day to you...your friends...and your family! I leave you with the tweets that made this letter possible. Enjoy!

Celebrity Apprentice: 911 [Season 9 Episode 11]
Before Donald Trump could say "You're hired!", Bret Michaels and Holly Robinson Peete have to show their leadership skill by managing two fallen contestants in the task to create a new flavor of Snapple tea. Darryl Strawberry and Summer Sanders join Bret while Maria Kanellis and Curtis Stone join Holly. In the clips of "The Celebrity Apprentice" which have just been released, Bret attempted to do everything at once including the branding, the photo shoot and the model's hairstyle. He got a pleasant surprise when his daughter came to visit him during the work. Over in Holly's team, Curtis showed anxiety to leave the place. Holly also happened to see Bret's printed ad for the Snapple tea and criticized it. She said the words are illegible and it's not right for celebrities to put too much about themselves into a brand. Both Bret and Holly were then required to do a presentation of the new product in front of not only guests but also Mr. Trump, Ivanka Trump and George Ross. The official synopsis says, "At the launch for the new Snapple teas, one finalist delivers a more polished performance, while the other seems to have the edge with the crowd." The episode aired May 23 followed by a live finale at NYC's Skirball Center. Mr Trump would first reveal who did the best job on the last task. Bret, who is recovering from a brain hemorrhage he had in late April, said that he is determined to appear there in person.

Dellamorte Dellamore
A cemetery man must kill the dead a second time when they become zombies. Starring: Anna Falchi, Maddalena Ischiale and Rupert Everett Francesco Dellamorte has a bit of a problem. He's the live-in watchman at the Buffalora Cemetery in northern Italy, where the corpses are crawling back out of their graves after spending a mere week in the ground. As you can imagine, that's something of a nuisance, but if he reports it to the authorities, they'll shut down the cemetery to investigate, and Francesco will be out of a job. Since he can't have that happening, he keeps a loaded pistol with him, which he carries to the door whenever he answers a knock. It's usually just one of them coming back, and a single bullet blown solidly through the head takes a zombie down easily enough. For Francesco, it's a pretty good gig. Surrounded by death, and with only the clumsy and deformed Gnaghi for company, Francesco's life is pretty stable until he falls for a mourning widow. Anna Falchi plays the object of his desire (known in the credits as "She"), whom he seduces in the Buffalora Ossuary (where the bones of the dead are deposited); the two indulge their strange affections on her poor husband's grave. Naturally, the old man comes back and the woman dies in her spouse's ensuing fit of jealous violence. Francesco is stricken with despair, but naturally She comes back again. And again. Trivia The budget for this film was $4 million. This movie is loosely based on one of the hottest selling comic books in Italy, "Dylan Dog". This comic sells well over a 1 million copies a month. Gnaghi (Francios Hadji-Lazaro) is also a French rock musician. He also star in Jean-Pierre Jeunet's "City of Lost Children". Check it out. The Japanese laserdisc of "Dellamorte Dellamore" is 5 minutes longer than the domestic release. I will let you know the differences as soon as I get it. The "returners" get their energy from the Mandragola roots in the cemetery. (Soavi, Fango #149) Tangerine Dream was originally supposed to do the soundtrack, but something else came up. An American company was willing to fund and distribute the movie if Matt Dylan was cast as Francesco. Thank god, Soavi said no. "Hell, at a certain point in life, you realize you know more dead people than living. " ~Francesco

A Facebook fan gets the credit for enlisting over 400,000 people to persuade SNL to get Betty White to host an episode of SNL...but she states that Facebook is a waste of time! She also says that Facebook...in her time was Phonebook...or a Ouija board to keep in contact with people.
This 88 year old phenomenon enjoys poking on a hayride...you have to love BETTY WHITE...and thank her for taking us all on her sexy hayride! Betty White should be the permanent host of Saturday Night Live.

Season 1, Episode 9: Mother's Day
Whether its portrayed by a family member...that is in dire need of medical attention for a loved one, or an administrator whose number one priority is balancing the financial burden of a medical institution, or the feelings that all medical personnel and administrators experience on a daily basis...because in my opinion...this may be the greatest episode ever to be televised on TNT or any other network. There's nothing better for a viewer to experience...when it comes to touching a soul, while cleverly using different point of views, when the final objective should always be...saving the life of a human being!
Summary: Christina leaves Bobbie in charge of the entire hospital nursing staff while she goes into budget battles with Morrissey, who gives Christina until the end of the day to lay off six nurses. The order couldn't come at a worse time for Kelly, who gets into trouble when she refutes Dr. Marshall's treatment for a stroke patient. Nor could it come at a worse time for the ER, which becomes the scene of a devastating tragedy.
